Citadel Guide Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Citadel Guide is a locally operated application designed to help users manage channel playlists, electronic program guide (EPG/XMLTV) data, Jellyfin integration, and related media-server configuration.

Citadel Guide does not currently operate a centralized user account, cloud-storage, advertising, or behavioral analytics service.

2. Information Stored Locally

Citadel Guide may store administrator credentials in hashed form, application settings, Jellyfin configuration, playlists, XMLTV/EPG data, mappings, logos, automation settings, logs, backups, and locally stored feedback records on the computer where it is installed.

3. Jellyfin Information

Citadel Guide can use a Jellyfin server address and API key supplied by the user. Citadel Guide does not intentionally transmit your Jellyfin API key, Jellyfin password, media files, media library, or viewing history to Citadel Guide support infrastructure.

4. Feedback and Bug Reports

When voluntarily submitted, reports may include a report ID, report type, subject, message, optional contact email, severity, reproduction steps, expected behavior, Error ID, and optional diagnostic information.

Diagnostics may include Citadel Guide version, platform/runtime information, packaged-build status, whether Jellyfin is configured, and recent Error IDs.

5. How Feedback Is Processed

Citadel Guide currently uses Cloudflare infrastructure for its feedback relay and Resend for email delivery. Reports are delivered to support@citadelguide.com.

6. Abuse Prevention

The feedback relay may process limited network information such as IP addresses for security, abuse prevention, and rate limiting.

7. Information We Do Not Intentionally Collect

Unless voluntarily included in report text, Citadel Guide support infrastructure is not designed to collect Jellyfin API keys, Citadel Guide passwords, Jellyfin passwords, media contents, complete media libraries, viewing history, payment-card information, precise location, or advertising-profile information.

8. Cookies and Local Sessions

The local web interface uses browser session mechanisms for authentication, security, and application functionality. These sessions are not used for advertising.

9. Security

Reasonable technical measures are used to protect Citadel Guide and its support infrastructure, but no software, network, or Internet transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

10. Data Retention

Locally stored information remains on the user's computer until removed through normal application operation, user action, or uninstall. Support reports may be retained as reasonably necessary for support, product improvement, security, abuse prevention, or legal obligations.

11. Children's Privacy

Citadel Guide is not directed to children under 13.

12. Third-Party Services

Third-party software and services operate independently and may have their own privacy practices.

13. Changes

This policy may be updated as Citadel Guide evolves. Material changes to data practices will be reflected in an updated policy.
