Citadel Guide Terms of Use and End User License Agreement

1. Citadel Guide
Citadel Guide is software designed to assist users with channel playlists, XMLTV/EPG data, Jellyfin integration, automation, and related media-server configuration. Citadel Guide does not provide, sell, license, or guarantee television channels, streams, or copyrighted media.
2. License
You are granted a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Citadel Guide for lawful personal or internal purposes. Citadel Guide is licensed, not sold.
3. Acceptable Use
You agree to use Citadel Guide only for lawful purposes and are responsible for ensuring you have the rights or permissions necessary for the playlists, streams, guide data, and services you configure.
4. Media, Streams, Playlists, and Guide Data
Citadel Guide does not guarantee the legality, accuracy, reliability, availability, quality, or continued operation of any third-party stream, channel, playlist, M3U source, XMLTV/EPG source, API, server, or website.
5. Jellyfin
Citadel Guide is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially supported by the Jellyfin project unless expressly stated otherwise.
6. Third-Party Services
Third-party services are governed by their respective owners' terms, licenses, privacy policies, and availability.
7. User Credentials and Security
You are responsible for protecting administrator credentials, API keys, the computer running Citadel Guide, and the security of your network and connected systems.
8. Backups
Citadel Guide backup functionality is provided as a convenience. You remain responsible for maintaining appropriate independent backups of important configuration and data.
9. Updates and Changes
Citadel Guide may be updated, modified, replaced, or discontinued. Compatibility with every future version of Windows, Jellyfin, or third-party service is not guaranteed.
10. Beta and Pre-Release Software
Alpha, beta, preview, release-candidate, experimental, or pre-release versions may contain defects, incomplete functionality, or compatibility problems.
11. Support
Support may be available through support@citadelguide.com on a reasonable-effort basis unless a separate agreement provides otherwise.
12. Feedback
You grant Citadel Guide permission to use voluntarily submitted feedback to diagnose problems, improve the software, develop features, and provide support without an obligation to compensate you.
13. Intellectual Property
Citadel Guide's original software, branding, graphics, and documentation are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. Third-party materials remain the property of their respective owners.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CITADEL GUIDE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OR GUARANTEES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
15. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, CITADEL GUIDE AND ITS DEVELOPERS, OWNERS, CONTRIBUTORS, AND SERVICE PROVIDERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO USE OF THE SOFTWARE.
16. Indemnification
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims or costs arising from unlawful use of Citadel Guide or violations of third-party rights through content or services you choose to configure.
17. Termination
Your license may terminate if you materially violate these Terms.
18. Applicable Law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the provider of Citadel Guide, except where mandatory consumer-protection or other laws require otherwise.
19. Changes to These Terms
These Terms may be updated as Citadel Guide evolves.
20. Entire Agreement
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any additional terms expressly provided with a particular service or version, govern your use of Citadel Guide.
