Citadel Guide is a local Windows application for managing IPTV channel playlists and XMLTV/EPG data, organizing channels, reviewing guide matches, automating refresh workflows, creating backups, and integrating the resulting lineup and guide data with media servers such as Jellyfin.

No. Citadel Guide does not provide television streams, IPTV subscriptions, copyrighted media, or access to paid services. You provide and are responsible for the playlists, guide sources, credentials, and services you configure.

Citadel Guide is designed around managing IPTV and EPG data for media-server use, with Jellyfin integration and diagnostics currently being a primary workflow. Citadel Guide does not replace a media server or video player.

Citadel Guide works with XMLTV/EPG data used to provide programme listings. The exact setup options depend on the Citadel Guide version and EPG workflow you choose. Citadel Guide does not sell or provide commercial guide-data subscriptions, and you remain responsible for any third-party source you configure.

Current Citadel Guide releases are not digitally code-signed. Code-signing certificates and compliant signing infrastructure carry an ongoing cost that does not yet make sense for this early-stage project. This warning does not by itself mean that Windows detected malware; it means Windows cannot verify a trusted digital publisher signature for the installer. Only download Citadel Guide from the official citadelguide.com download page and compare the installer's SHA-256 checksum with the checksum published there. Code signing may be added in the future as the project grows.

The official download section publishes a SHA-256 checksum for the current installer. After downloading, you can calculate the file's SHA-256 hash in Windows and compare it with the value published on citadelguide.com. If the values do not match exactly, do not run the installer.

No. Citadel Guide is local-first and its core working configuration is stored on your Windows PC. You create a local Citadel Guide account for access to the management interface rather than a hosted Citadel Guide cloud account.

Citadel Guide is designed to keep its core configuration local. Some optional or disclosed online functions, such as feedback, licensing, and analytics where enabled, communicate with Tree Trunk Labs services. See the Privacy Policy for the current details and controls.

Citadel Guide is designed so normal upgrades do not require you to purchase Pro again. Reinstall and activation behavior remains subject to the license terms and activation controls, so keep your license information somewhere safe.

Citadel Guide is currently packaged for 64-bit Windows. Other platforms may be evaluated later, but no additional platform release is currently promised.
